It’s been a difficult period for the Currans team. Anyone who follows us will know we’ve had some tough news to deal with recently. But one thing you can’t take from this team is the way they show up for customers when it matters. This job is a good example of that.
A wonderful couple were relocating from Manchester to Derbyshire to be closer to their family. A big move, three days of work and a team that got stuck in from day one.
Day one: the full pack
The team spent the first day packing the entire property. Every box packed, labelled and stacked. Fragile items wrapped individually. Nothing left to chance before a single piece of furniture moved.

Day two: dismantle and load
Furniture came apart room by room. Beds, wardrobes, the dining table, the lot. Everything wrapped and protected before it went near the van. Two vans, loaded methodically, stretch film and moving blankets on everything that needed it.
The dining table got the specialist cover treatment, two of the lads carrying it out through the garage carefully. It’s the kind of piece that takes a knock badly if you’re not paying attention.
Day three: the drive and the unload
Two vans made the trip down to Derbyshire. At the other end the team didn’t just drop boxes and leave. Every room was set up ready for the couple to settle straight in. Beds reassembled, furniture back together, everything in the right place.
That’s what we mean when we say we take the stress away. Not just the lifting and driving. The whole thing, start to finish.
The team that showed up
Three days is a long time to be away from home. The lads gave everything across all three days and never let the recent difficult period affect the standard of their work. That’s something to be proud of.
