Packing Service FAQs
How much does a packing service cost?
It depends on the size of your home and how much you’d like us to pack. Give us a call or book a free survey and we’ll put together an honest, no-obligation quote, no need to count boxes yourself.
Can you just pack part of my house?
Of course. Plenty of people pack the easy things themselves and leave us the kitchen, the loft or the fragile items. You decide how much we take on.
Do you bring all the packing materials?
Yes. We turn up with strong boxes, bubble wrap, packing paper, tape and free wardrobe boxes, so everything is packed properly. You don’t need to buy a thing.
Do you dismantle and reassemble furniture?
We do, and it’s free with every move. We take apart beds, wardrobes, desks and other large pieces before the move, then rebuild them at your new home so you’re not left struggling.
How do you protect fragile and valuable items?
Fragile things are wrapped individually in bubble wrap and fragile tape, boxed carefully and clearly labelled. Mirrors, glassware, china and artwork all get extra attention.
When do you come to pack?
Usually a day or two before move day, so everything is wrapped and ready when the van arrives. For bigger homes we can start earlier and work over a couple of days.
Is your packing service insured?
Yes. Everything we pack and move is covered by full public liability and goods-in-transit insurance, so your belongings are protected throughout.
Can you pack items for storage?
Absolutely. If there’s a gap between properties, we can pack your things and take them straight into secure storage, then bring them back when you’re ready.
